Reverend Libby Dady
“I’m Libby Dady and I’m Rector of Blakeney and 4 other parishes: together we are the Glaven Valley Benefice. There are several different names for my role: Rector, Vicar, Minister, Priest, Curate. Some are historical, some descriptive. ‘Curate’ is the one I like best because it comes from ‘cure of souls’. This ancient phrase means ‘care of souls’ and more.
I and my friends at Blakeney Church, together with our friends at the Methodist and Catholic Churches, are committed to coming closer to God ourselves and sharing God’s love with others. God’s love is totally inclusive: God loves everyone regardless of our age, abilities, what we look like and whether or not we believe in God. God’s love can ‘cure’ us on the inside, making us whole.
We have inherited St Nicholas’: an ancient and beautiful building, and many people are involved in taking care of it. The building is for the whole community and for visitors.
We want everyone to feel welcome in Blakeney Church, whether you come to enjoy the building or join us for worship.”
